Our journey takes you to the Solentiname Archipelago, place that has been famous as an artist colony and its brightly colored and primitive style handicrafts. Near the Archipelago you will visit “Los Guatuzos”, a wildlife refuge that includes an abundant marshy land with luxuriant plant life.

Leaving that behind you will sail the waters of the beautiful San Juan River and as you go along you will find built on a rise above a small town, the castle of the Immaculate Conception, which became a bulwark of defense against English pirates in the seventeen century. Later, you will visit the Indio Maiz Reserve to walk through the rainforest.
