Bay of San Juan del Sur

Playa Hermosa

Yankee Beach

Remanso Beach
This is one of the closest beaches to San Juan del Sur and is easily accessible, especially in the summer. This beach has good right and left waves just a short distance from the coast.

Maderas Beach
Probably the beach with the most consistent waves in Nicaragua. It is located about 25 minutes from San Juan del Sur, and can be accessed by high vehicles such as trucks or jeeps. Jiquiliste Beach
Also known as Santana beach, located in Tola, which after San Juan del Sur is the most developed tourist area in the sun and beach segment.

Colorado Beach
Also located in Tola, it has been characterized by surf camps where there are two types of waves.
The wave of the Colorado River that is formed at the mouth of an estuary, this throws perfect barrels on the right and left. It is without a doubt one of the best waves in Tola.
The second wave is Panga Drops, it is heavy wave, has the shape of a horseshoe and manages to maximize the size of any incoming swell. It is known for its fast starts, huge walls, and occasional barrels. Works best with medium boards and during low tide.

Popoyo Beach
In the municipality of Tola, this beach has the most famous and consistent waves in Nicaragua. It can be surfed at all tides and has become the top surfing destinations in recent years.
This “A” shaped wave creates large left and right walls with occasional barrels. Paddling further out to sea, or with a boat you can reach the reef outside Popoyo which is a real challenge.
It is undoubtedly one of the heaviest waves in Central America. Recommended only for professionals. Shallow reefs must be taken into account. The wind blows towards the sea 300 days a year guaranteed.

Corn island
To associate this island with paradise is not an exaggeration: blue sea, warm sun and white sand. It is ideal for relaxation, however, you can do all kinds of activities, including: snorkeling, diving and boating.
This island is located on the South Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua, where you can get there by boat from Bluefields or by plane from the capital Managua.
Corn Island and Little Corn Island are the place par excellence for snorkeling and diving.Here you can appreciate the magnificent underwater gardens dominated by corals, brain sponges and multicoloured fish.

Bluff Beach

It is the vacation area par excellence for the people of Bluefields, located in Bluefields.
It is common that during the week it is not very busy, however, it is the best place to sunbathe and relax, since it is an almost virgin, clean and safe beach.
The beach remains Located 10 or 15 minutes walk from the El Bluff pier, which can only be reached by boat or panga from Bluefields.
The beach has similar characteristics to the Pacific beaches because its sand is brown and has a stronger swell than most of the waters in the Caribbean. On the other hand, on the shore there is a construction of small wooden and straw huts, which function as a restaurant and bar.
Blue Coast
It is located on the south side of the city of Corinto, its waters are warm and relatively calm. It surfs well with medium and large swells and works best at high tide. You can get there via the Gran Pacifica tourist development or through the Los Cardones community. Asuchillo Beach

Quizala Beach

Masachapa and Pochomil Beach
