Rural and Community Tourism Circuits

Granada

Declared the tourism capital of Nicaragua by presidential decree on December 6, 2024, Granada has established itself as a multi-destination destination thanks to its natural and cultural wealth and its importance as a major destination in our country. This recent declaration recognizes Granada's value and its ability to attract visitors from around the world and reaffirms the commitment to continue promoting sustainable and inclusive tourism, such as rural and community tourism, which strengthens cultural identity, stimulates the local economy, and conserves the natural environment.

In this context, tourist circuits based on rural and community tourism are presented, allowing visitors to connect with the experiences of the countryside, share experiences with its protagonists, and enjoy enriching experiences linked to local production, traditional cuisine, ancestral knowledge, and the department's biodiversity. These initiatives contribute to diversifying Granada's tourism offering and boosting the local economy, expanding opportunities for regional development and positioning it as a destination committed to responsible tourism that respects its natural environment.
