The archipelago of the Isletas de Granada, in Nicaragua, is a natural wonder of volcanic origin, possibly formed by an explosion of the Mombacho volcano, when it was still active. In total, there is one for each day of the year, that is, a total of 365.

The islets are located in Lake Cocibolca, which has more than 8,000 square kilometers. Many wealthy families from the great sultana, as well as from other departments of Nicaragua, have built mansions here, and they use them for their vacations.

In others they built small hotels, resorts and restaurants to serve national and foreign tourists, some are uninhabited.

Kayaks are rented at reasonable prices in the various businesses on the islets. For those who like to sail, Lake Cocibolca is a good place to travel in kayaks without any major risks because the waves and winds are not that strong.

These islets are home to native and migratory birds, and some even have monkeys. Local families are engaged in fishing or provide some type of service to visitors who request it.

The islets of Granada can be reached by boats that tour the islands or take tourists there and then pick them up when requested.
