Masaya is full of diverse attractions and cultural traditions that preserve part of our heritage.

Masaya It is an important cultural destination, due to the popular expressions that originate and manifest in it, the dances, the music and its unique religious traditions are characteristics of the Department. Catarina Highlights include a viewpoint overlooking Apoyo Lagoon, its nurseries, and the craft shops located in the town center. The neighbor Saint John of the East It is a land of artisans, with workshops and shops selling clay crafts with a huge range of shapes and colours.

Niquinohomo, Birthplace of General Augusto C. Sandino. Masatepe, a municipality known for its gastronomy, the traditional “Tripe Soup”, its traditional sweets, its workshops and shops selling wooden, wicker and plant fibre furniture; Nandasmo with its Tourist Lookout and artisan workshops for wooden furniture. In The conception, a great variety of fruits and citrus fruits stand out, it shares with the municipality of Ticuantepe, the Cerro El Ventarrón, a site from where you can observe one side of the Masaya Volcano and go hiking.

Nindiri, The municipality that owns the impressive Masaya Volcano National Park has an urban center with a large number of attractions, as well as museums of pre-Columbian pieces found in the area.
