Nicaraguan tourism has something for everyone, based on the natural and cultural variety with which the largest nation in Central America was blessed.

Every year is an opportunity to discover the benefits that the land of lakes and volcanoes offers.

Although there are beaches around the world and surfing too, those in Nicaragua are characterized by being suitable for this sport all year round and in a safe, warm environment with good prices.

Let's include a board, always for a sport but outside the water, is this possible? In Nicaragua yes, where the most famous volcano for sandboarding is located, it is Cerro Negro in the west of the country, the place is ideal for sliding on a board at a speed between 40 and 90 kilometers. The volcano measures 726 meters.

Let's continue with the volcanoes, because there are more than 20, and let's stop south of the country's capital, Managua; in Nindirí, there is the Masaya volcano, the source of a series of international audiovisual productions due to its impressive lava lake.

Other interesting volcanoes for adventure lovers are Maderas and Concepción, guardians of Ometepe Island and unique for their natural formation; Momotombo, its replica and San Cristóbal, always in the Pacific, have a lot to teach you.

Perhaps an active volcano terrifies you, in Nicaragua we have other elevations that will give you an impressive view of nature, get to know the highest point in the country, it is located in San Fernando, Nueva Segovia, and measures 2,107 meters above sea level.

Let's go to Managua, which is no longer just a transit city. It is not strange that with the passing of the years and population growth, generations demand spaces for recreation.

In 2008, a flagship of tourism was opened in the capital, the Salvador Allende port, a tourist complex (restaurants, kiosks, marina, walks, children's games, GoKarts, magnificent sunrises or sunsets and more) on the shore of Lake Xolotlán, the magic begins every afternoon at this site.

The most valuable “element” of tourism in Nicaragua is its people, friendly, hard-working people willing to guide you to live new experiences.

Even if it is not a chronicle, they will give you historical data, they will share recipes of the culinary delicacies that we enjoy, they will tell you the best tourist destination to visit because they are in the field and they will know what is best for you.

If by chance you don't choose a hotel to stay, the agrotourism farms would be your best choice. The managers there will be singularly clever and will make you draw water from a well (hole in the ground), milk a cow, tie up its calf, cut fruit and vegetables and don't rule out riding a horse to herd cattle before going to the stable for chicken eggs for dinner.

The government, businessmen and the population know the benefits of working together for the “industry without smokestacks”, so you will know before arriving in Nicaragua that the security, friendliness of its citizens, proximity and variety of destinations, prices, excellent roads, delicious gastronomy and perfect craftsmanship are unique and original.
