In the municipality of San Ramón, in the department of Matagalpa, there is much to visit and discover. Taking advantage of the weekends in February, the month of love and friendship.

It is located 142 kilometers from the Nicaraguan capital, about two hours by intercity bus, which leaves from the El Mayoreo bus stop to Matagalpa, where you must take another bus to San Ramón. You also have the option of traveling by taxi to San Ramón, which will drop you off at Parque Central in 20 minutes.

Here you can tour the entire town centre, have lunch in any of its cafes, dining rooms or restaurants, and have a delicious cup of coffee produced in this area at 690 m above sea level.

In its historic center is the San Ramón Church, the Municipal Park, the Plaza of the Historical Identity of San Ramón, the Plaza de la Biblia and the Municipal Baseball Stadium.

Near the city center you can visit the group of women artisans from the El Plomo community, two kilometers away, on the road to Muy Muy, you will find beauties to give as a souvenir.

Four women work with crafts made from natural seeds and make everything in the line of costume jewelry and jewellery. They also offer talks to visitors and tourists about environmental conservation and demonstrate the process of making their crafts.

The main economic activity of the municipality is the agricultural sector, with emphasis on the cultivation of coffee, beans, corn and, on a small scale, vegetables and non-traditional products.

In this municipality there is a river that has part of its course with an artificial dam built in the 80s, and which is currently used to produce electricity, this is the Wabule River. Here you will find the Wabule Canyon, which can be visited this summer, to be in contact with nature.

You can rest and eat at the Maná del Cielo country hotel, where they prepare a succulent chicken soup, rest and then take a dip in the hotel's large swimming pool.
