The place is called Ojo de Agua and is located in the Tilgüe region, municipality of Altagracia, on the Island of Ometepe in the southern department of Rivas.
The waters of this tourist destination chosen by many come from springs that connect with the Concepción volcano, an active colossus of the Nicaraguan Pacific and in the middle of a freshwater lake, Cocibolca.
Ojo de Agua is the source of the Buen Suceso River, of volcanic origin, it has all the components of thermal water but it is water at the same time. How to get to
To get from Managua to Altagracia on Ometepe Island, you must board a bus headed to San Jorge at the Roberto Huembes market bus terminal or a bus headed to Rivas. From there, take a taxi to the port of San Jorge.
From here you can take a ferry to the port of San José del Sur, a journey of one hour and 20 minutes. You can also take a ferry or passenger boat to Moyogalpa and board a bus to Altagracia, which is 24 kilometers away.
Once on the island, hire selective transportation services or a taxi.
Another option is to take a plane from the domestic flights terminal at Managua's Augusto C. Sandino International Airport, heading to Moyogalpa and from there to Altagracia. Flights leave on Thursday and Sunday mornings.
