Tierra Alta Ecolodge, a mountain destination

If you are tired of looking for a vacation spot to be in contact with nature or are simply looking for a peaceful place where you can read and walk outdoors, find it at the entrance to Trentino one kilometer north in San Ramón, 12 kilometers from Matagalpa, it is Tierra Alta Ecolodge.

It is a green destination due to the amount of vegetation found around it, with an exquisite climate you can take advantage of staying in the comfortable cabins that have a privileged view.

Its owners, who are foreigners, say that the idea arose from a visit they made to Nicaragua and that upon returning to Canada they compared the climate and vegetation in the heart of Central America.

“We lived in Canada in a place where there are huge mountains, but it is very cold and we visited Nicaragua and we were amazed and decided that we wanted to spend time enjoying the beauty and natural resources,” says Bertila Espino, owner of Tierra Alta Ecolodge.

The site, an environmental initiative, offers visitors a place of relaxation and also incorporates them into the reforestation and health activities that exist in the area.

In creating this destination, the owners made a commitment to the environment. “We want to appreciate nature and take care of it; that is one of Tierra Alta's missions,” Espino says.

Tierra Alta has five kilometers of trails where you can find different species of animals, plants and landscapes. In addition to these services, the site offers a spa to pamper yourself after a long walk and a restaurant with an extensive menu of Canadian food.
